For my music video I cannot break this act and therefore have found a way to use someone else's music but will not break this act. To do this I e-mailed the owner of the rights to the song asking them if I could use it for my music Video. Our music permission

For our music promo video we have to use non copy right music or ask the band or artists permission. While looking at unsigned.com we came across a 'tonight I Let You Go' by The Colours. My group sent an email to them asking for permission to use this song and was granted permission to do so.

Purpose of a Music Promo video

The main purpose for a music video or promo video is to advertise the band and their song. New and upcoming bands will make music videos to help them get more fans. Existing bands will make music videos to advertise and get more popularity from people who are not fans of the band and to try and persuade them to become fans. By doing this the bands popularity is increased which will then increase the bands income from music sales and tour sales. These are the main purposes of music/promo videos.

Course work brief

To produce a music promotion video which lasts no longer than 5 minutes. I can work in a group or by my own to do this task. Along with the promo video a digi pack and a magazine/poster should be designed. I will also be posting on this blog regularly updating what I am learning and doing in reference to the music promo video. This blog will also include research and planning, and a critical evaluation of my music video.
