Editing

After yesterdays discussion with our teacher we started to put in the titles and cut the first scene of the animations. The titles fly in and out from the bottom left hand side of the screen. We took inspiration of doing it like this from music videos shown on MTV. We believe that if the titles appear like this then it will catch the attention of the viewer but will also not block the view of the music video.

Editing

Today we finished editing our our music video. We showed our teacher who said more needed to be done and said that the animations we filmed would be perfect.

Music video

We have now completed editing and have our final piece. It is currently without the titles and the ident but we are working on this.

Animation scenes

In earlier posts I stated that for the narrative of the story we were going to use animations. We have now decided against this as the animation does not work well and isn't very smooth. We have three scenes.

Editing

We have recently edited our music video and now have a total of 1 minute 30 seconds completed.

Poster design

We have had several ideas about our poster. These include having the same image that will be on the digipak and a seperate one that shows a siluette of a guitarist jumping with the colours going along the background. We have recently come accross a major issue about copy right. After looking for images of a guitarist jumping we discovered that the one we had chosen was under a copy right and the company was not happy with letting us use it unless we paid $500.
To solve this problem on our last film shoot we took pictures of one of the members jumping in the air with a guitar. This image will be edited and will replace the current image.
